The 25th Interspeech Conference, themed “Speech and Beyond”, took place from the 1st to the 5th of September, 2024, in Kos Island, Greece. Building upon the tradition of Interspeech as the world’s leading conference on the science and technology of spoken language processing, the conference provided an engaging and inclusive environment for all who share a passion for speech technology and innovation.
The main focus has been on enhancing speech recognition capabilities across various dimensions: Speech and Health, Animal Sound Recognition, Speech for Interacting with Machines, Robots, and Apps (including VR/AR/XR), Speech for Memory & Heritage, and Communication Across Ages.
Creating a meeting point for professionals and academic researchers from around the globe, the ELOQUENCE team attended and witnessed the vibrant discussions and meaningful connections.
In that manner, our partners Umberto Cappellazzo, Daniele Falavigna, and Alessio Brutti (Scientific Coordinator of the project), had a presentation of a scientific paper “Efficient Fine-tuning of Audio Spectrogram Transformers via Soft Mixture of Adapters” developed under ELOQUENCE in order to share project’s findings.
