ELOQUENCE partner IDIAP at JSALT 2025

The ELOQUENCE partner IDIAP has been selected for its proposal for the JSALT 2025 workshop. Hosted by Johns Hopkins University (JHU), JSALT (Jelinek Summer Workshop on Speech and Language Technology) is a flagship event in the field of speech and language technologies. Each year, this workshop brings together world-leading experts and researchers to collaboratively tackle cutting-edge challenges and develop innovative solutions.

About JSALT 2025

JSALT 2025 will be held at the Brno University of Technology (BUT) in the Czech Republic, from the 23rd of June to the 1st of August. The workshop spans a six-week intensive program, offering participants an environment to work on advanced research problems and prototype solutions in speech, text, and other data-centric technologies. With a rigorous selection process, JSALT workshops receive proposals from leading research institutes and industries worldwide.

IDIAP’s proposal, submitted in collaboration with ELOQUENCE partners and other stakeholders, focuses on dialogue modelling for high-risk applications. This project aligns closely with ELOQUENCE’s mission to promote trustworthy and efficient AI technologies, especially in high-stakes scenarios like emergency management, healthcare, and cybersecurity.

We look forward to seeing the outcomes of this collaboration and how they contribute to both the ELOQUENCE project and the field of dialogue systems for high-risk applications.
